Hi,
I am planning to Volunteer in the Himalayas for about 8 weeks this summer for July - August. I am looking for organization providing such volunteer placement and haven't found many the only one I could find is Volunteer in India . I am bit curious about them as I haven't heard much about them anywhere. They have a volunteer in Ladakh program whihc seems very nice and affordable.

Has anyone even used them? any suggestion and past experience with them will be greatly appreciated

Most people get away on vacations to help them forget about their stressful lives and jobs, and to just relax and not have to think about anything. But how many of us actually want to be able to be of help to someone who may be less fortunate than we are? I have done some research and I've done ASB in the past, but I am looking to brach out because I haven't been out of the country to volunteer yet?
