Hi,
I am new to travelling in Thailand. I have been doing the guesthouse and local transport thing but it's not active enough for me. I am a keen mountain biker from Yorkshire and I am looking to do a few months on a bike around the country and maybe some mountain bike adventure holidays or tours.

Amazing Thailand is indeed amazing to many who travel there. As one of the few countries in the region that was never colonised by Western powers, Thailand’s heritage and culture remains pure and uncompromised.
Ruins, temples and deserted cities are all part of Thailand’s allure. Don’t forget it’s world famous beaches of which there are many – Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi, Ko Samui are just some of the more noted.
Thailand is easy to travel within. Efficient transport, cheap and plentiful accommodation and the now world famous cuisine.

Hi peeps,

Heading out to Thailand soon and need some advice with regards to travel insurance. That is to say - I don't have any yet!

Where would anyone reccommend? Is there much to choose between one global travel insurance provider and another? Is getting cheap travel insurance going to cost me big later?

Take special care in learning the proper ritual for visiting a temple in Thailand.
Instructions

* STEP 1: Buy incense or a flower from a stand outside the temple.
* STEP 2: Approach the temple door and remove your shoes.
* STEP 3: Enter the temple without speaking.
* STEP 4: Be careful not to touch any of the statues or the symbols once inside.
* STEP 5: Place your offering, either incense or flower, at the base of the Buddha statue.
* STEP 6: Remain silent.

* The Thai word for temple is "wat."
