Roughing it

We love to go camping, and have usually done the Primitive Camping - or "roughing it" style - in the past. Where are some of your favorite, out of the way places to go camping?

Hotels or camping

When you're going on vacation for at least a week, do you plan on going to a hotel and staying put in one place the whole time, or do you prefer to pull along a camper and stay someplace different a few nights during the trip?

We recently bought a pop-up camper, and I'm thinking a road trip is in order this summer. Will it be difficult to find places to park it?

Camping tips for Italy

Camping in Italy can be very rewarding, and surprisingly, it can be very inexpensive. Campsites are privately own, so the prices are different everywhere. Urban campsites tend to be the more expensive than rural areas. You can save a little money by checking around instead of dropping your load at the first place you come to. For instance a campsite in Rome, Camping Roma, costs $22 for a tent for two and $16 in a more rural location like Camping Santa Fortunata near Sorrento.
