When you think of romance, you think of France. This country is synonymous with romance and love. This beautiful country always has something to indulge your senses, whether it is the sense of touch, sight, smell, sound or taste. Come indulge yourself!

History

France was first occupied by Celtic Gauls and then were invaded by the Romans. The first republic as established in 1792 after the revolution. The two world wars in the 20th century devastated the country and capitulated to the Germans in WWII and was later liberated by the Allied forces. France has contributed a lot in the fields of architecture, art, music, literature and philosophy throughout history and still continues to do so. The French cultural and language influences are evident throughout the world.

Geography

Located on Western Europe and bordered by Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Spain. The country has a beautiful landscape, from the French Alps to the French Riviera

What to see and do

Breathtaking scenery and architecture and monuments to captivate your sight. The most famous landmark is the Eiffel tower. Or indulge yourself in some fine French cuisine. From a slice of quiche, to some croissants and cheese to the more exquisite boudin noir (blood pudding) and snails. Add to that a glass of French wine. Even the smell of the food will make you hungry. And the French language is called the most beautiful language in the world or the “language of love”. Really enchanting to hear the French accent.
