Travel in groups is the best advice i can give you.

I went to Nepal alone and although nothing bad happened to me. I realised after that it is quite foolish to embark on a trip alone. Bad things happen when alone. i.e. a rock at back of your temple and you are out.

things like that can happen in a poor country and all they really wanted was your hundred dollar camera.. :cry:

There is some revolution going on there against the king so make sure you go in peace.

I really wont suggest you to go to Nepal. With so many insurgents and Maoists there and an on going revolution against the king, its the place where you want your self to be least.

Nepal is a wonderful place. It is on my large list of places to travel in the next two decades. A friend of mine moved to Kathmandu for work, and he has told me so many stories, I became hooked after his 3rd story! There is so much history here, and the architecture of the buildings are fabulous! And the fact that some of the best views I have seen of the Himalayas, wow, thats all I can say. Breath taking!
