I heard that one can practically live off coupons in Las Vegas. With the competition so hot there, there are plenty of giveaways... Is this true??

Most of the coupons are from restaurants or buffets. Some restaurants will give you one free entree when you buy one. These coupons are in the local Las Vegas newspapers. For those of us who belong to slot clubs, some of them will send us monthly coupons for buffets - "Buy one meal, get one free." My husband and I get two of those coupons each month from our favorite casino.
We also get coupons for 2x or 3x slot machine points on certain days. Not enough freebies to live on but enough for fun. The hotels are doing very well here and there is not a problem with competition. In fact, two new hotels are being built now. 8)
