I want to Toronto and it's really great there. Good weather for the most part. CN Tower is a great attraction. Great things for kids are things like the African Lion Safari, Ontario Science Centre, and Wild Water Kingdom .

Definitely go to Toronto if it is an option. Aside from attractions like the CN Tower (really cool view of the whole city, especially on a clear day), Toronto has a ton of other hot spots.

Restaurants:

Many tastes from different cultures, great if you are from a small town and have never experienced food from other cultures.

Sports:

NBA, NHL, MLB, CFL, tons of sports in great facilities.

Educational:

As already mentioned, there's the Ontario Science Centre.

Animals:

Zoo, African Lion Safari

And lots more...

No way! Avoid Toronto like the plague. If you want to head east check out Montreal. So much more flavour there. And the french canadian women are amazing.

But the best spot is the mountains of the west. Snowboarding, skiing, biking, rock climbing, camping, walks and much more.

One of my friends worked in Vancouver for 3 years. She absolutely loved it there, by the sea. She said that a big plus was that the winters were mild compared to the rest of Canada!

in to Vancouver (among other ports) - this is the area which he would love to revisit. Some of our friends also went to Banff/Lake Louise - and loved the Rockies.

.... I don't think you'll have much difficulty planning a great itinerary :)

You may want to consider Prince Edward Island. Beautiful beaches, great scenery and lots to do in the summer months. Has some of the finest cuisine in Canada.

What better place for outdoor sports - extreme or otherwise - than the Canadian Rockies? Not only is the landscape breathtaking, but the list of activities includes:
-hiking (you can even go on a glacier walk)
-canoeing
-rafting
-horseback riding
-canyon crawls
-heli-skiing

I think that Quebec is a must see for many people. It's the part where they particulary speak french I think. Canada hasn't much to offer according to a Canadian friend of mine :(

My favourite: Montreal

What to do on a Montreal vacation? First, my city has one of the best quality of life ratings in North America - that means that even if you make a little money, you can still lead a good life here. You can eat like a king for less than $10 - sometimes even $5 - any day of the week.

Our beautiful mountain located right in the middle of the city gives us a place to go cross-country skiing and ice skating in the winter, or hiking and biking in the summer. In the summer, there are performances and dancing and all kinds of good friendship happening at the base of Mont Royal.

Old Montreal has street performances and artists in the summer, on top of many historical sights and museums.
