I've been to Bratislave (just on a day trip, we were driving from vienna to brno).
It is a very cheap place to visit, the old town is pretty, but the outskirts have lots of the old style (and very ugly) soviet style towerblocks.

There are such tower blocks in the all ex soviet countries i think, but we gotta no forget that there are and landmarks which are beautiful as in Moscow and St. Petersburg :). That`s why i`d like to know what are the most nice places worth seeing in Bratislava :D . Besides what do you mean is very cheap? Do you know what exactly are the prices? I`m curious to know :oops: :) :D .

What about your friend Margaret? Is she returned from Naples? Sorry but i`m waiting for some news with impatience :oops:

Sorry to be reviving this topic but I like to tell you something too: I went to Bratislave too for a city trip. Well actually I went there to see the mariadge of my uncle and my new aunt :)

Too bad I only went for a weekend. I only saw one small church, the church where they married. I walked around in the streets and I have a image about how eastern europe looks like :)

Well they look like all other people here in my region, western europe. Though most people have black hair over there and no blondes. They looked really nice :)

:lol: hehehe :lol: i can imagine! in my region there are blond and black hair people so it`s not amazingly for me, but is interesting to see it if is not so common :D

Some girls were blonde or brunette but then you could clearly see that they color their hair. Really nice women there by the way and a good taste of dressing. It's not far from Austria so actually they aren't too poor.

I don`t think cause are close to Austia is the reason! It seems me that in all East Europe countries women are dressed well with nice taste. :)

You are probably right Mirra I would have never thought that their taste was that good. Normally you see nice clothes in Italy and France (Western Europe) and you don't expect to see this in Eastern Europe.

I don`t know where you had this opinion about the eastern women from and what on the basis of it? :roll: and i`m wondering what was your expectation?

I just figured that all the people I had seen from eastern Europe had black hair.

My expectations were that I wouldn't be seeing any people that were wearing nice clothes (but there are a lot of people who wear nice clothes there).

My feeling about the buidlings was true though, a little bit destroyed buildings.
