New York City has literally thousands of restaurants from every part of the world and any kind of cuisine you want. You can find Asian -- Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai and even Burmese. And of course Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi. You can sample cooking from every Latin American nation, and every country in Europe, and from several African countries as well. And you can also taste the many different styles of American regional cooking.
New York City is a place for all tastes
That is good, but expect for
That is good, but expect for Italian, I'm not sure I would trust a "New Yorker' to cook other types of food. When you get into the SW states, you see alot of Mexican places (for example) that say they cook Mexican, but its actually American/Mexican, not real Mexican food. Those are the types of things that would bother me, esp. if its a new food I have never tried before, how am I to know they are making it proper or making it "their own way"?
If it was something that I
If it was something that I ended up enjoying, I wouldn't matter whether or not it was authentic. As long as I didn't get sick from it, and it tasted good, I would be grateful for the new culinary experience.
As long as its not too
As long as its not too spicy, I'm up for just about anything new. My tummy just cant handle the spicy stuff, why I avoid alot of SW foods. :)
I think that NY and Vegas go
I think that NY and Vegas go hand in hand for offering so many things to so many different types of people. Though they are different in their own way, I would recommend both to new travelers to the US anytime. Wonderful post!
