I was in Singapore a few months ago and I didn't expect to spend the rest of my hard earned cash but it was such a bargain.
My Husband and I were keen on getting some electronics in Singapore but didn't imagine that we would get all the electronics we need for the next 3 years or until the next electronic comes out, or our next stop over trip to Singapore ha ha
There is bargains for not only Electronic equipment, but clothes, materials, tailored clothes, shoes, bags, shirts, shorts, furniture, jewels, you name it there is a bargain to be found.
Arthur and I bought lens for our Canon SLR and filters, spare batteries. We also bought a Canon Video Camera and you get a tripod, bag, we bargained a extra long life battery and a multi flash card reader and something else I can't remember.
We also bought accessories for our PSP that we bought in Brisbane, Australia as the exchange rate to the pound worked quite nicely in our favour :)
We also bought a bag that stores all our cameras, video camera, tapes, flash cards, cables, any other accessories or equipment that we buy and the lens and filters. Not only is it a backpack but it is on wheels aswell. We bargained him down to nearly half the price.
We bought most if not all our electronics from the electronics building. I can't remember it off the top of my head but there are a few of them but ask the concierge at the hotel to direct you as there are bargins you might find at the markets but the best ones I found and we shopped around was at the Electronics SuperHouse - not sure of the name.
Take a taxi and they are cheap in Singapore or if you want to save a few $ you can take a the metro but I would suggest a taxi back.
If you are keen on a shopping trip to Singapore check out when the sales are on as they have super bargins. I think we were lucky enough to be in the Sales fortnight on our stop over.
Don't be afraid to walk away and try another store and see what you can get them down to.
