I have lived in Maryland, West Virgina, Arizona & (now) South Carolina. All of which have nice things about them. MD has any type of weather, its said if you can live there you can live in any climate (it changes from day to day). West Virgina is laid back and has nice scenes to visit, I remember once hiking at a place I think called Sliding Rock/Sliding Mountain. AZ is good for when you are tired of the cold (how I ended up there in my early 20's), they have a good heat index (think 100+ F in most months), but very little humidity. SC is laid back like WV but something here almost makes time slow.

I have visited PA but I don't remember much about it (too young).
When I moved from AZ to SC I took greyhound (I don't suggest this way to travel when moving) and I ended up going through NM, TX, LA, MS, AL & GA, but I wasn't there long enough to grab any pictures or enjoy it too much.
