Arizona Destinations

What are some of your favorite destinations in Arizona, or places you think would be a favorite destination for you? Personally, I've always been partial to the Arizona Ghost Towns that dot the northern part of the state, which boomed before the silver ran out of the mines.

Ghost towns have always

Ghost towns have always intrigued me. I love the history behind them, as well as the eerie lonliness that fills the town.

I did not know that Arizona had many ghost towns. Are they a popular visiting location there?

As for the rest of Arizona, all I really know about is the Grand Canyon, which is absolutely beautiful.

I've always thought it would

I've always thought it would be interesting to visit a Ghost Town, as well. I guess I've always liked that time period, and think it would be interesting to see the towns where so much history was made.

I've been to Arizona a few

I've been to Arizona a few times.

Bellemont is a nice little ghost town, if you don't mind bikers.

Cerbat is another small ghost town where gold and silver were found in the 1860s. It's a pretty interesting place.

If you have children, or are a Flintstones fan, you may want to stop at Bedrock city. It's fairly entertaining.

And of course, you should check out the Grand Canyon. There's nothing like that anywhere. :)

I love Arizona! My favorite

I love Arizona!

My favorite place in Arizon is the Four Corners Monument. It's where the state lines of Arizona, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico meet. It's fun to say that you've been 4 places at once!!

I also love Catalina State Park. It's a nice little desert park. If you like to camp or hike, you would probably enjoy it. Just keep in mind that it gets hot there!

When I was in Arizona I

When I was in Arizona I really wanted to go see the Four Corners monument, but I just didn't have the chance.

Those places that Yaya pointed out look interesting. I wouldn't mind going to some of those.

I lived in Arizona for

I lived in Arizona for almost five years. The first place I went to was the Grand Canyon (amazing views, and one of the best places to practice my photo hobby). I have been told that the four corners is a good trip as well, though I never had the chance to go, many friends have told me they would cross one line to another and state "I am jumping from state to state".

Some places I would suggest:
Desert Botanical Garden & The Biosphere, The Phoenix Art Museum, Phoenix Zoo (we have taken my son to this and he adored it!), South Mountain Park (Arizona has some of the best camping grounds). There are also numerous National Monuments, and if you are lucky enough to be invited onto a reservation, they have some of the best scenery I have ever seen.

Arizona is the best location.

Arizona has always been famous for its small but very beautiful ghost cities. This is one place which also carries a history which you'll obvoiusly enjoy and there are more than 275 ghost cities of which GILA CITY-yuma is my personal favourate.

I have a couple, my Aunt

I have a couple, my Aunt lives there, so I have been during the summers growing up. Rocky Point/Nogales, Tucson and Flagstaff would be my tops. I have been told it can even snow in Flagstaff, but I have never been there during the winter months (yet).
