I have been to a couple of state fairs, depending the size some are free to admit, but you pay for the tickets for the rides. If its a small one, I could guess about 20-40 kid rides (not coasters, but rides adults can be on, more for teens though). Any "park" mostly charged like 30-60USD for a family or single pass, depends on where you go (these are not fair, but parks instead). For most state fairs I have been to, maybe 10 dollars for admittance and a few more dollars for the rides.
Money for food is always extra - thats where they get you. :)
