Zoos were mentioned in another thread so I thought that maybe now would be a good time to talk about them.
What are the big US Zoos? What is there and where, and what variety of animals can one expect to see.
What about petting zoos, are there many of those? And safari parks, do they exist in the US?

I am not sure about specific names of zoos, but I can think of a couple of places that have good ones, you can start from there. New York has afew, Baltimore, San Diego, Florida all come to mind. Maybe search online those cities and "zoo".
