If you have only ever been on river crossing ferries, then this is a trip to be made. The crossing from England to France takes about half an hour, and in good calm seas is a joy of a trip. In rough seas however, if you are a naff ferry without a lounge, you will be stuck holding on to a bar table for dear life as your stool slides every which way!
