A friend of mine who lives in South Africa wrote to me yesterday with a warning about current situations in South Africa. So a word to the wise; just be aware that right now racial tension is high. There have been some very big changes recently and they are leaving behind them some very hard feeling.

I've lived in SA all my life and am posting this from Cape Town this very minute. What tensions there are are no more than the normal, everyday problems and absolutely no reason to discourage travellers to South Africa.
