It's surprising to many that while I live near the ocean, I have never in my life gone whale watching. I would love to one day, but I just haven't had the chance. Has anybody gone on one of those boats on a whale watching trip? About how much did you pay, and where did you go?

On a side note, a blue whale just washed ashore and died along the coast here, a bit north of me. It's sad, and I really wonder what caused it to happen?
